The organization implements integrated development approach combining Education, Health, Agriculture, Livestock, Adolescent Empowerment and Microfinance.
About BRAC UGANDA, Health-Program:
BRAC’s health program trains, supervises and manages 4,075 community Health Promoters (CHPs) and health promoters (volunteers) focusing on provision of reproductive, maternal, neonatal & child health care (RMNCH), Reducing vulnerability to communicable diseases and improving nutrition.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Perform activities pertaining to the operational management, supportive supervision & coordination of program activities.
  • Ensure proper implementation of the program/project activities at field level through monitoring of the key indicators of project.
  • Provide necessary support to the team (RHCs, AHCs, PHAs & CHPs) under his supervision, resolve any issues & take administrative action accordingly.
  • Carry out necessary field trips & site visits to ensure effective implementation of projects activities.
  • Submit all relevant reports to the program manager on all project implementation.
  • Ensure operational system is streamlined & well managed/maintained in terms of supply chains from central to community level.
  • Ensure all pilot initiatives are well coordinated & implemented & updated weekly to the program manager & the team.
  • Ensure all instructions/communications are passed effectively & efficiently to the field staff for smooth implementation.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate for the BRAC International Operations Manager job placement must hold a Masters’ degree in health related fields (preferred field Nursing, Public health and Clinical Medicine).
  • At least five years of health-related experience in implementing direct Community Health work with a large team at field level
  • Ability to liaise with stakeholders and especially government (district, health center and local level officials)
  • Excellent interpersonal, supervisory and mentorship skills to mobilize & inspire trust among team members as well as the community to drive performances on health and sales
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Good communication skills, computer skills (MS office proficiency), Report writing planning and analytical skills are a must
