Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Design and administer our database environment, which includes SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and CouchDB. Configure database instances, recommend physical data models, and optimize for performance.
  • Manage our data pipelines, ensuring that the right data lands in the right place at the right time. Create and monitor systems for data transformation and validation.
  • Work closely with our data analysts, software developers, operations teams, and partners, who are the producers and consumers of data. Help them choose the right data and deliver systems to support them.
  • Write technical documentation, including data catalogs, standards, and procedures.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate for the Living Goods Data Engineering Developer job placement should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field from a top academic program, or equivalent experience.
  • Three or more years of professional software development experience, preferably in Python.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
Project implementation and reporting:
  • Promote the use of modern farming practice and techniques through training, advising farmers, farm visits and demonstrations so as to transform targeted families from subsistence to commercial farmers.

  • Document and maintain records pertaining to training, production activities forward issues to management for decisions and appropriate action in line with WVU policies.
  • Write up accurate and timely reports pertaining to all planned activities in the required format and submit to the Project Coordinator Livelihood
  • Ensure Care givers/Foster parents of unaccompanied Refugee children are members of farmer business groups/cooperatives and are accessing business developments services.
  • Participate in monthly / quarterly reflection meetings with Child Monitors and guardians/parents and child protection committees to address findings from monitoring.
Child Protection and Wellbeing
  • Monitor the wellbeing and child abuse cases and report any incidents in line with child protection policy and guidelines.
  • Work closely with local leaders to protect children from child violations and abuses
  • Sensitize children including most vulnerable, guardians/parents and other stakeholders about children’s rights and responsibilities.

  • Provide counseling services and other short term therapeutic services to refugees coming to office on individual and group basis and in communities.
